For the 2026 season we will offer a Mascot squad for our youngest athletes ages 5-6 entering grades K-1st with no cheer experience. This team will be similar to our recreational squads and will focus on fun and fundamentals. Mascot registration does not include camp. Mascot squads summer practice will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-7:00 at Jesuit High School. School year practice will be Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-7:00 at Jesuit High School. Mascot squad will perform a showcase routine at the SAC league competition in November.
All athletes make the team (we do not do cuts) and will be placed on the squad that best matches their age, grade, and SKILLS. Recreational teams are open to athletes age 7-14 in grades K-8. The recreational team registration includes a practice T shirt, 4 bows (practice/camp, game day, competition, breast cancer) and clinics. Recreational teams begin practice at the beginning of July. Recreational team practice schedules will be posted later this spring. During the school year teams will practice 3 days a week. Younger teams will practice till 7:30 while older teams will practice till 8.
New for 2026 all teams will have an evaluation day. This will allow us to better place athletes based on age and skill levels.
Camp is required and will be part of registration fees. Camp is July 11th and July 12th. Please mark these dates on your calendar.
All teams will attend league competition in November. Division and scored/non scored will be evaluated based on skills at start of the season. Some teams will attend more competitions based on athletes skills and competition division.
Sideline cheer is open to everyone but the competitive teams require tryouts. Competition season will run November - January. Tryouts will be the week immediately after the league competition in November. Athletes who intend to tryout for competition teams should be in a regular tumbling class through out sideline season and the competition season.
Minimum skills required for competition will be determined by athletes age and divisions being offered. Athletes must have participated in the sideline season in order to try out.
Practice schedules will be determined based on gym availability and there will be weekend practices, most likely on Sundays.
Athletes will travel to competitions outside the Sacramento/Stockton area in December and January. With the goal to qualify and attend JAMZ Nationals (late January) in Las Vegas NV.
There will be additional fees for these teams that will be charged beginning in November. Fees cover competitions, gym rentals, and coaches travel.
*Tumbling clinics will be held offsite and times may vary. All other practices are held at Jesuit High School on football practice fields.
